PUFFS DIGITAL PROGRAM

Welcome, students! We are truly tickled pink to present to you, with great pride and silliness, a show filled with inside jokes and utter nonsense. But since we’re in school, it seems appropriate to learn a little about the subject at hand.

So, how do you define “Puffs?”

Puffs, a definition

:  a gift for those who remember

reading until the wee hours of the

morning in the 1990’s, fighting sleep in order to see what would happen to the The Boy Who Lived.

:  a reminder for those of us who believe not only in magic, but also in the power of imagination, rebellion, and the mighty magic of love.

:  a lingering hope for the generation of kids and teens who grew up believing that one day they might find an owl on their front step with a letter intended just for them to take them to a Certain School of Male Magic and Female Magic.

Consider this strange and lovely little show your owl, carrying a love letter to you from your childhood. We invite you not to worry for the next 90ish minutes, but to fall into a world you know with characters you never got a chance to meet because they were seemingly unimportant. But “Puffs” will show you that there are no unimportant people- we all have a story where we are the most important person. We hope it touches your heart and funny bone as deeply as it’s touched ours!

Pre-show Need-to-know

Welcome, students! We’re happy to see you’ve enrolled in our Certain School of Male Magic and Female Magic. We ask you to please follow all the school rules so that you don’t lose points for your house: Per our agreement with Samuel French, all photography and videography is strictly prohibited. Please don't do it. Take this opportunity to turn off or completely silence your phones, and maybe even your smart watches. The actors can see the screen light (and so can the rest of the audience), and the light is distracting. You will be asked to put your phone away if you pull it out during the show. Actors will be using every entrance around the audience, so watch your feet and help us by keeping the aisles clear. Tonight’s class will run between 90 and 110 minutes, depending on… well, depending on how well everything goes. We strongly recommend that you stay seated unless there is an emergency during the performance due to the intimate seating, but if you do have to get up, please do so quickly and quietly.
